Right now we are experiencing a “flash-back”.  The classic part is back!  Think of George Clooney at an Award show.  It is all about individualism and creativity but still staying true to classic roots.  Ra will help all men out there find the best style while still taking their personality into consideration.  For this style we suggest our lightweight Aveda Firm Hold Get which delivers maximum hold, control, definition and shine without unwanted build up or flaking.

The buzz cut is a timeless style that will be prominent this year. With this cut, hair is kept as short as possible, this is to ensure you appear polished.  At Ra Salon Spa we keep the nape and sides short while gaining length above the crown.  This will allow the head shape to be consistent.  David Beckham sports this style frequently.  Because this style is short we recommend Aveda’s Mens Exfoliating Shampoo.  This product exfoliates scalp to remove dull, dead skin cells, excess oil, product build-up and other impurities.

For a style that’s trending in 2010, we look to Rob Pattinson.  This is a style that is suited for younger men and features a front that’s brushed forward or pushed up and back.  There is a lot of texture for an irreverent feel.  This style will come in a variety of lengths - all for individualism.  Aveda’s Pure-formance^TM Grooming Clay adds strong hold without adding shine. Its light-weight, micro-fibers provide the control you need to create any style—with a comb or your fingers. Perfect for adding thickness to hair as well.

Carrie:

 Carrie’s character has really grown and she is now sporting a more serious hair style than the old Carrie. Flowing waves is how Ra would describe her hair. What you will need is Aveda Damage Control, a blow dryer and curling iron. 

On dry hair, clip the hair you will not be using onto the crown of your head. Begin with the lower back sections; or, for shorter hair, begin with the top sections on the crown.

Curl a 1- to 2-inch section of hair for about 10 seconds, clip the curl out of your way and continue with the rest of your hair.

Complete the styling with your fingers and use a finishing spray, such as Aveda Air Control.

Samantha:

 Samantha is rocking a fresh angled cut with soft waves. Ra recommends getting face framing highlights, and style with a 1/2 inch curling iron. 

For this style curl all the hair making sure to curl the front away from your face, then peice the curls out.   Finish it off with a workable spray, such as Pure Abundance hair spray. This look is meant to have movement - be careful not to use too much hairspray.

Miranda:

Miranda’s look is all about the proper cut and color. Leave this look to professionals - as you might need to adjust the color depending on skin tone and eye color. 

After creating the perfect cut, it is time to style!  In order to create Mirnada’s look you will need to use a flat iron and Aveda Texturizing Creme.  This will give your ends the proper texture.  Using both hands scrunch the texturizing creme into the bottom layer of hair, then soften.

Charlotte:

Charlottes’s look is very simple and sophisticated - just like her. Blowdry hair Using Phomollient styling Foam (deepening on hair texture) and the right size round brush. Ra recommends Monroe Round Brushes.

Using clean partings and a concentrator (blowdryer attachment) start at the lower back sections.  Round brush each small section, making sure to blast the hair (still on the brush) with cool air at the end - this will set the hair.  Be very careful using hair spray at the end - we reccomend Brilliant Spray on shine to give a glossy look. 

Think about stepping out of  a Town and Country magazine, you are very polished.
